Ryan's birthday was April 27th. Rick and I celebrated by getting a birthday cake and making a wish. Of course you can all imagine what we wished for! We got Ryan some toys for his birthday too. We plan on having a real party for him when he gets here.
Just Chillin!
Our Guatemalan Journey
After waiting for 3 years and going through one failed adoption, we met with Susan, our Lutheran Services case worker, and discussed our frustration. Susan told us about Guatemalan adoption and we decided that this was our way to finally become mom and dad. Susan got us in contact with Guatemalan Miracales and Carol Slater. Carol listened to our story and her kindness and reputation sold us on going with her agency. We started our Guatemalan journey in late September and shortly after were referred to a baby boy - Our Little Luis Fernando. Please keep us in your prayers as we complete the miles of paperwork necessary to bring our son home.
We would like to say a special thank you to our parents - Mary and Paul - if it was not for them we would not be able to adopt internationally - Thanks Mom and Dad
